This board is entrusted with the responsibility of advising and making recommendations to the city council for the management, control, improvement and beautification of all public squares, parklets, and parks of the city and of all park drives, parkway, boulevards, play and recreation grounds and facilities. The Board shall also recommend to the council appropriate measures to ensure that the city has a well-integrated and complete program for this use of its parks and playgrounds and to accomplish this will from time to time meet with the appropriate city employees and other groups who make use of city parks and playgrounds. The board shall be entrusted with the responsibility of advising and making recommendations to the city council as to the management and control of the city’s cemetery property.
